How to Apply for AAUW’s Winter Education Award

As noted on our “Front Page”, the AAUW Gaylord Branch is seeing applicants for our “Winter Education Award”.  At least one $1,000 award will be granted to an Otsego County woman who is continuing her schooling after a year or more away from the educational setting OR has completed one or more years of uninterrupted undergraduate study at the university level.  Deadline for submission is January 24, 2025.

Click here to download the application.  Fill out the application and email it to aauwgaylord@gmail.com (by or before January 24th).  To deliver it by mail, address it to AAUW Gaylord Area Branch, attn: Education Committee, P.O. Box 1031, Gaylord, MI 49734.  Mailed applications must be postmarked no later than January 24th.  Applications are also available at the Gaylord Kirtland University Center front desk and at the Otsego County Library – Gaylord branch.

Gaylord Area Branch “Woman Making History” Awardees

Each year, in March, AAUW Gaylord Area Branch honors a woman from Otsego County for her achievements in celebration of National Women’s History Month. These are women who go above and beyond to make a positive impact in our community.  We are very fortunate in Otsego County to have many such amazing women in our midst.  Below is a list of all of the women we have honored through the years.
