We pleased to announce Cynthia Gill Pushman as the 2016 “Woman Making History”. Cynthia is the Director of Michigan Department of Health & Human Services for Otsego, Crawford and Montmorency Counties. She has resided all of her adult life in Gaylord. She is an activist and an enthusiastic volunteer. Her many contributions focus upon advocating for women, girls, the elderly and the disadvantaged. She has worked with virtually every program in the area that supported causes for the underprivileged. She was instrumental in starting the AuSable Free Clinic and the Gaylord Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and countless other contributions that have fostered wellness and a sense of community. Her volunteer work with Make-A-Wish Foundation and Raise Hope and Foster Dreams is extensive. She has devoted her time and talent to great causes such as the Commission on Aging, Toys for Tots, Salvation Army and Food Bank. She was a Big Sister and was on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Board. Our Gaylord Area Branch will honor and thank Cynthia for all she has contributed to our community over the years.

The luncheon will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at noon at the Otsego Grand Event Center and can be purchased at Saturn Booksellers, Oliver Chiropractic Clinic. Tickets are $25 per person.
